Frodo was entitled with the burden of carrying the ring, although he makes the choice to destroy the ring. Gandalf insisted that the ring was meant to come to Frodo and he was the one to destroy it. Frodo was on a quest to save middle earth and evil forever, and in his quest Frodo suffered immensely. But through these trials and struggles ,Frodo, along with his companion Samwise Gamgee pushed through and like Jesus ( Simon) Frodo had a trusty companion to the very end. Sam Never gave up on Frodo even when Frodo had abandonded him.
Samwise Gamgee, closest friend and companion of Frodo, was a Hobbit of the most simplistic Wisdom and is always striving to do the right thing, and is always down for a feed. Sam see's the corruption of the ring within Frodo and the deceptiveness of Smeagol and he tries to help his friend. But Frodo is blinded by the power of the ring and for a time, he pushes on his adventure without Sam. Sam is the image of a perfect christian man. He is always there to aid his friends even in the worst of times. He never gives up, and see's nothing but good in people and even at the end of all things, he is still able to make Frodo happy and in doing so making the people of middle earth happy. Sam is a dominant religious figure as he shows us what it is to do the right thing, and that anything is possible even against all odds.
