" One Ring to rule them, One Ring to find them
one ring to bring them all, and in darkness bind them"
The one ring show's us how easily evil and enslave us(STAN WILLIAMS).Of all the rings in middle earth, Sauron the deceiver made one master ring. This one ring controlled the fate of middle earth for thousands of years. With only one true master and wielder of this ring, and as it is passed on from holder to holder, we see the power of the ring and the power of evil. Evil can corrupt even the simplest of minds. The ring is a symbol of how heavy a burden something can bring down on a person. And it is in these times of hardship when we are able to truly see ourselves. Frodo, like many before him struggled in dealing with the powers of the ring. But Frodo was strong willed and with the help of his companions, were able to get the job done. Never able to achieve such a feat on his own, like Jesus's Disciples the Fellowship helped to carry Frodo all the way to mount doom and save the world.
Frodo carried the fate of the world around his neck, just as Jesus carried the fate of mankind on his back as he was on the cross dying for our sins and it is not without struggle that one is able to accomplish greatness.

The rings that had been crafted for the strength and will to govern each race. But in the making of these rings, gave the bearers an ungodly power. And in having power we see the desire for more power and the desire for greed. All of these evil things, both in the bible and to those of middle earth. The race of men, who most easily desire the will for power, struggled the most in their venture for power. Like those who deceived Christ and sinned against there friend, Men were the easiest to be turned and in doing so, showing their weakness.
The race of men is scene as a weak one. The throne of Gondor was left emptied longing the return of the King, the one to unite Gondor once more. And although the ring brings out the evil in people, it also shows the greatness in others who will stop at nothing to protect and destroy it ( Sam and Aragorn). There will always be good in this world to overpower that of evil, and through allegory Tolkien shows us this.
